ANTIBES - The Old Town

Enclosed by ancient ramparts on the seaward side the old town is a fascinating mix of restaurants , traditional shops , schic boutiques and quaint houses. A market is held every morning throughout June , July and August selling fresh local produce . There are also several museums including Musee Picasso . Close by is Marine Land ( a water park )

CANNES

Famous for its film festival Cannes exhudes glitz and glamour .The Croisette -- a wide promenade bordering the sea is awash with designer shops and palatial hotels .

Tucked away at the Western End of the port is Le Suquet - a narrow street filled with restaurants .

NICE

Nice is a very busy town with loads of shops  and a popular sea front ( Promenade des Anglais ) but the beach is all pebbles . The main street is the Avenue Jean de Medicine which runs all the way from the railway station to the sea . Visit the old town with all its shops and restaurants .

WALKING.
There are some spectacular walks in the area and depending on your level of fitness there should be something to suit everyone . The local tourist office can give you details .
